Forty Carrots' comprehensive Parenting Education Program strives to help families create environments that nurture healthy minds, compassionate hearts, and responsible behavior. From the professional mom trying to raise a spirited child to an incarcerated teen who is struggling with the reality of motherhood, Forty Carrots has an opportunity for any willing family to become the family they desire. Forty Carrots' programming is facilitated by specially trained parenting educators.
We help families:
- Develop strong emotional bonds with their children
- Understand why children behave the way they do
- Generate creative solutions to everyday problems
- Use effective discipline strategies
- Improve parent-child communication
- Learn ways to facilitate childrens play and learning

Forty Carrots In-Center Program
Held at Forty Carrots' center on Tuttle Avenue, this program offers a wide variety of classes each week that provide opportunities for parents and their children to learn and grow together. From unique parent/child play experiences to evening classes for adults needing help with discipline strategies for their children, family bonds are truly nurished.
Free Neighborhood Drop-In Programs
Held at 8 Sarasota County Libraries, these classes for mobile babies to 5 years old provide a captivating drop-in program to enhance your child's social, emotional and intellectual development. Child development information is provided as part of this program.
Forty Carrots Parenting Programs On Wheels
Forty Carrots On Wheels Program travels into the community to reach families facing specific challenges that compound the already complex job of raising children. These challenges include parental drug and alcohol addiction, teen parenthood, parental history of sexual, emotional or physical abuse, parental incarceration, homelessness, poverty, or limited education. These classes are not open to the public.
