Free safety checks performed by AAA and SAFE KIDS coalition-certified car seat inspectors.
Did You Know ...
• 7 out of 10 children are improperly restrained, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
• In a 2001 survey, AAA found that over 96% of all
car seats checked in Florida were improperly installed.
• Although statistically most infants and toddlers under
age 4 ride in the correct child safety seat, less than 10%
(ages 5-8) who should be in booster seats use one.
Free car seat safety checks are available on Wednesdays,
at 10:45am, 11:15am and 11:45am until February 24th, 2010.
We will continue after March with free safety checks if funding is secured.
Additional appointments may be scheduled on Wednesday mornings for safety checks for a $25 fee.
